Sildenafil 50/100 mg
The original one, generic. Take it half an hour to an hour before, and eat light beforehand or it takes longer.
Take 30–60 min before
Sildenafil is the drug that started this category and it remains the most predictable on-demand option. You get eight tablets a month, starting at 50 mg, and your doctor adjusts up or down after the first cycle based on what actually happened.
The most common reason it appears not to work is a heavy meal. Fat in the stomach delays absorption by an hour or more, and people give up on the tablet rather than on the pounded yam.
The same PDE5 inhibition as tadalafil, but it clears much faster — a four-to-six-hour window rather than a day and a half. That is either the advantage or the drawback depending on how planned your evenings are.
What most people get, and the bit that matters
This list is not exhaustive and does not replace the consultation. The intake form asks the questions that decide it, which is why the honest answers matter more than the fast ones.
Because that is what on-demand use looks like for most members, and prescribing thirty of something you take occasionally is how tablets end up shared. If eight is genuinely not enough, say so at your review and it is adjusted.
Everyone starts at 50 mg. Your doctor moves you to 100 mg only if 50 did not do the job and you tolerated it, because the side effects scale with the dose.
