1. What Renu is, and what it is not
Renu Health Ltd is a telemedicine platform. We connect you to independent doctors registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and to pharmacies registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. We do not manufacture, compound or dispense medication ourselves.
Renu is not an emergency service. If you are having chest pain, difficulty breathing, an allergic reaction, thoughts of harming yourself, or any other emergency, go to a hospital. Do not message the care team and wait.
2. Who can use the service
You must be 18 or older, physically located in Nigeria, and able to give accurate information about your own health. You may not create an account or order medication on behalf of somebody else without their knowledge.
Prescriptions are issued at the sole clinical discretion of the reviewing doctor. Completing the intake form, paying, or having been prescribed something previously does not entitle you to a prescription.
3. Your responsibilities
Answer the health questions truthfully and completely, including every medication and supplement you take. Most of the harm that comes from telemedicine comes from omitted information, not from the medicine.
Tell your doctor promptly if your health changes, if you become pregnant or plan to, if you are admitted to hospital, or if another clinician starts you on something new.
Medication prescribed to you is for you. Do not share it, resell it, or pass it on — including to family members with what looks like the same problem.
4. Pricing, billing and cancellation
Prices shown on this site are indicative and are confirmed at checkout. Because a substantial part of our cost is denominated in foreign currency, prices can change; a change never applies to a plan you have already paid for.
Monthly plans bill every 30 days. Three-month plans bill once, up front, at the discounted rate. Payment is taken after a doctor has decided to prescribe, never before.
You may cancel at any time with no exit fee. Sealed, unopened and correctly stored medication from a three-month plan is refunded. Opened medication, and any medication whose cold chain has been broken after delivery, cannot be refunded.
5. Delivery and the cold chain
Temperature-sensitive orders ship in an insulated box with gel packs and a temperature indicator strip. You should inspect the strip on arrival, before the courier leaves.
If the strip indicates a breach, refuse the parcel or photograph it immediately and contact the care team. We replace the medication at our cost. If a breach is reported after the medication has been stored by you for more than 24 hours, we may not be able to establish where it occurred and replacement is at our discretion.
6. Limits of our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited under Nigerian law.
Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the total amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
