What it is

Antioxidant · skin clarity and liver support

Glutathione is the body's main intracellular antioxidant, central to liver detoxification pathways. Members ask for it for skin clarity, and it does have a documented effect on melanin synthesis — which is precisely why it needs a careful conversation rather than a shopping cart.

We prescribe it subcutaneously on a set weekly schedule. We do not run high-dose intravenous glutathione infusions for skin lightening; that practice has caused serious harm elsewhere, drug regulators have issued warnings about it, and it is not something a responsible telehealth service should be selling.

What it does in your body

It neutralises reactive oxygen species and is a required cofactor in phase II liver conjugation. Its effect on pigment comes from inhibiting tyrosinase and shifting melanin synthesis from darker eumelanin towards lighter phaeomelanin — a real mechanism, a modest and reversible effect, and not a substitute for sun protection.

Questions about Glutathione injection

It can modestly and temporarily reduce pigment production. It will not change your complexion permanently, and if that is the goal you are being sold something the evidence does not support. Sun protection does more for the clarity most people are actually describing.

Because high-dose IV glutathione for cosmetic use has a genuine safety record of harm, including serious kidney and skin reactions, and multiple regulators have warned against it. A weekly subcutaneous dose is the version we will put our name to.
